Normandy Swim and Dive Team

Welcome to the Barracuda Swim and Dive Team Season.

To be able to plan our schedules and coaching staff accordingly, we are asking parents to register for teams as soon as possible. As a thank you for registering early, any child registered before May 10th will receive a FREE team t-shirt. It is crucial for us to know our numbers early so that we can organize appropriate practice times and groups. 

*Final registration closes on May 22nd*

***Please note -- Families must be in good standing with the club prior to beginning practice. In other words, your Normandy dues must be paid and the swimmer/diver must be a permanent member of the household in order to compete on our teams. ***

IMPORTANT DATES:

-Registration “soft” Deadline: May 10th

-Meet the coaches and CIT Training

Thursday, May 14th, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m 

-New to our team swimmers/8U swimmer Swim Assessments: May 12th 

(sign up link will be sent to those families who should sign up for assessments)

-Dive Open House: May 18th (Time TBA) **Come give dive a try and meet our awesome coaches! Open to anyone interested in learning more about dive! 

-CIT Training from 5/18 from 4:45-5:30.

-After school Practices Begin: May 18th-May 21st

-Morning Practices Begin: May 26th

-Swim Team Mock Meet May 29th

Picture Day (both Swim and Dive): Friday June 12, 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. 

Practice times/Groups:

TBD - dependent on team numbers and age group splits; all practices will end before noon, Mon-Thurs. “Fun Fridays” are typically from 10 - 11 a.m. Please see the "Practice" tab for swim team age group specific practice times. 

Volunteering:

Parent volunteers are a crucial part of our teams for a successful Swim and Dive season. Most volunteer opportunities will be DURING the meets, but there may be additional ways to help our teams during the season. Each Swim team family is expected to volunteer for a minimum of 3.0 POINTS each season, or pay the $75 per point volunteer fee. More information regarding volunteer opportunities will be made available in May.

Registration Fees:

Swim Team Only: $130

Dive Team Only: $115

Swim and Dive Team $190

Children ages 15-18 -- Swim and Dive: FREE

Family Max: $370

Volunteer Points (Swim only): If your family does NOT complete the 3 shifts/points for the season, the family will be billed $75/point or shift.

Payment:

Payment will be made when registering on Swimtopia via Stripe.

Your child will not be allowed to practice if there is an outstanding balance, missing paperwork, or if you are not in good standing with the club.

Extras

- Donuts on Fun Fridays included for all swimmers and divers

- Optional extra team activities (Team party, team dinner, etc.) will be paid for at the discretion of each family

Coach In Training (CIT)

If you have a child that is 12yrs or older by June 1, 2025 and they are interested in being a CIT (Coach In Training) this summer, please help them fill out the Google form below by May 13th. It is a great way for the older swimmers to get involved and get some volunteer hours! There will be a required CIT TRAINING session prior to the "Meet the Coaches" night on May 14th from 4:30-5:30.
